that scene. In that episode earlier Henry tells Katherine as far as from where he’s standing their marriage is over. More than that: never had true legitimization.
She was noble and obedient, loving wife and beautiful. Even though it wasn’t common to marry the widow of your brother, Henry marries Katherine, and it is said their marriage was out of love and not political considerations. 17 years of marriage. She tried so many times to give him what he desired, but failed. She gave birth to 4 dead sons. The grief of a mother is stronger than a father’s. Yet, despite all this, he dares to ask for a divorce from a noble woman, the daughter of a powerful queen,
Isabella I of Castille, and the aunt of a powerful emperor- Charles V.
She tells Anne to stop. She never really noticed her before. She wasn’t that pretty, she had dark hair, olive skin, dark eyes. Henry had mistresses all the time. But he never got this far to ask for a divorce. She wants to have a look at the person that ruined her life. The person that her husband is willing to tear everything apart for.
It took him a moment or two. He kicked himself for that. His brain should’ve been faster on the uptake. It was a process of elimination that narrowed his conclusion to it’s apex. A slow look of realization came over his face, and a hint of a smile crossed his lips. He looked rather embarrassed at missing it. “I apologize for being so forward, Miss Boleyn, but you just asked me to sleep with you, didn’t you?”
She was so F O R W A R D , so F O R G E T F U L that she was not back at home where saying such inappropriate things were normal —- perhaps their behaviors and customs rubbed off on her… But she D I D live a quarter of her life there, learning their traditions and such. With a soft sigh, a smile of embarrassment slid across her own dark features — ❝ I D I D — ❞ she admitted and clasped her hands together, low and in front of her. It was her way of retaining her poise and NOT to freak out of his final realization. How H U M A N it all was… ❝ If it bothers you, since we both DO vary in size and all. I understand. ❞ She was one with an open mind. But there were the many who did not have this quality.
"Why do they call him The Joker?" "Criminals in this town used to believe in things." "I believe that what doesn't kill you simply makes you stranger." "What kind of hero needs to wear a mask?" "I told your man my compound would take you places. I never said they'd be places you wanted to go." "One man or the entire mob?" "When you stitch yourself up, you make a bloody mess." "Are you interested in his character or his social circle?" "You don't leave things like this to chance." "If you're not getting shot at, you're not doing your job." "Good thing about the mob is they keep giving you second chances." "Gotham's proud of an ordinary man standing up for what's right." "You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain." "I thought I told bad jokes." "If you're good at something, never do it for free." "Wanna know how I got these scars?" "Let's put a smile on that face." "Why so serious?" "We don't have to be afraid of scum like you." "You cannot leave me on my own with these people." "I guess no answer isn't no." "A little fight in you. I like that." "You can't protect me. You can't even protect yourselves." "Some men just want to watch the world burn." "You'd leave a man's life to chance?" "You're the symbol of hope that I could never be." "Don't make me your one hope for a normal life." "I suppose they'll lock me up as well. Your accomplice." "The night is darkest just before the dawn. And I promise you, the dawn is coming." "You make your own luck." "Hit me. Come on. Hit me." "Kill you? I don't want to kill you. What would I do without you?" "I'm not a monster. I'm just ahead of the curve." "You have these rules and you think they'll save you." "The only sensible way to live in this world is without rules." "Killing is making a choice. You choose one life over the other." "How many of your friends have I killed?" "You know why I use a knife? Guns are too quick. You don't get to savor all the little emotions." "I don't want to live without you." "If you lose your faith in me, please keep your faith in people." "Why should I hide who I am?" "This city deserves a better class of criminal and I'm going to give it to them. This is my town now." "It's not about money. It's about sending a message." "I hate plans. Yours. Theirs. Everyone's." "Come nightfall, this city is mine and everyone left here plays by my rules." "You're about to know what my suffering is really like." "What were you hoping to prove? That deep down, we're all as ugly as you?" "You truly are incorruptible, aren't you?" "You won't kill me out of some misplaced sense of self righteousness and I won't kill you because you're too much fun." "We're going to do this forever." "Madness is like gravity. All it takes is a little push." "It's not about what I want. It's about what's fair." "The only morality in a cruel world is chance." "Gotham needs it's true hero." "He's the hero Gotham deserves but not the one it needs right now." "He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A dark knight."
She took the letter from him, and he watched, waited, as she opened the scroll, to read over what her father had relayed to her. Thomas knew already in broad strokes what the letter contained, the plans going into motion. Anne spoke of the QUEEN’S wishes, as if it were by her gracious hand that all of this was coming to be. “She is.” She was now. She has been made to be. No, it was because of the KING. When she came to court she would come to see who held absolute power. “You are to gather your belongings immediately and I shall accompany you back. Anything else that you need will be sent over in the subsequent weeks.” He was to be her escort, her protector. To tell her all that she needed to know before she arrived at court so that she did not make any fatal stumbles.
The thought of being present at The Court, residing at her Queen’s side was beyond the words that Anne Boleyn could express. Not only did it mean that it would better her reputation as a Lady — but that she would be CLOSER to her HENRY PERCY; the man she knew and grew to love ever since she had returned home from France. He was a kind man and understood the decisions she had made in her life. So to be in the same setting as him now… ❝ Then let us leave now —❞ she said to him. ❝ I’ll go fetch my things.❞ So she did, storing what dresses and shoes she could carry in a chest before making her way back down the stairs. It took an HOUR for her to ready her journey to Hampton Court. ❝ Shall we, Mister Cromwell?❞
“They’re traits becoming of a regent. I’m eager to see how you wield them.”
❝ You don’t mean that —- despite how capable you think I am of being at a position THAT HIGH, it’s a place that a person like me will NEVER be able to grasp.❞
“You’ll have to forgive me, Miss Boleyn, I’m unfamiliar with the euphemism.” Did she mean to go drinking? Marauding? There were a number of interests that could catch Roboute’s attention, but most of them involved processing large amounts of data instead of alcohol and chess. Still, he would hear her out.
With a sigh, her tongue met her lips as she licked at them – her lips were dry. ❝ IT MEANT NOTHING —❞ she said to him. Perhaps it was a mistake to say such a thing to him and Anne was pitifully GLAD that the flirtatious remark went over his head… Even though she DID admit that she lusted over him – what kind of a woman wouldn’t? ❝ But, you’re quite FINE for not knowing what I meant by it. Maybe it’s for the best.❞
001: This blog is not my whole life, so replies will be delayed on this blog. Please bear with me while I try to get through them. I currently not only run this blog, but another one (which can be found HERE), an RPH and I am also in a roleplay group as an original character. On top of that, I also have Real Life things that come my way thatβll impact my activity.
002: This blog is classified as both βPrivateβ and βSelectiveβ. I choose to only interact with whom I choose and since Iβve a lot of blogs on my plate, confining this blog will make it easier for me. I also feel comfortable with those who I am close to when writing this muse. Please do not judge me.
003: Please respect me and the Muse I write as. Thus meaning no godmodding, Mary Sues or Gary Stus. I find writing/roleplaying a place where I can βrelaxβ and not have to worry about anything else.
004: Graphics such as the Dash Icon, the theme background, Janet Montgomery Icons, and the Promotional banner are credited to me. Other icons and images belong to their rightful owners and creators.
CHARACTERIZATION:
001: I currently portray Anne based on minimal factual knowledge and records with some show influence. I write as I imagine her to be and not as the vixen most visualize her as. You may dislike Anne or you might like her and my portrayal included in this mix. But please keep your opinion to yourself or if you must, come speak to me in private about it, donβt send in anons.
I will not play/write Anne right to the very core of her soul.
002: There will be triggers of blood, minimal swearing, smut and other things. All will be tagged. The mun and Anne are of age.
003: Though fatefully married to King Henry VIII, I am willing to move away from history if there be any type of romance to form. I dislike Anne's fate and believe that she had a better chance with someone else than the King.
Because I love chemistry between characters, I can get a little hyped when it comes to shipping. So if I spring on you the βHey, I ship _____ with Anne!β, donβt get so alarmed.
004: I do not interact with anyone who also portrays Anne.
BIOGRAPHY
Anne Boleyn was the second daughter of Sir Thomas Boleyn and Lady Elizabeth Howard. She was born in England, raised there until her early teens to serve as a Lady to Queen Margaret of Austria. Because the Queen took a liking to both her and her father, word spread of Anne's quick learning and grace. By the age of fifteen, the Boleyns made their way to France where Anne and her older sister, Mary, served as Lady's for the Queen and later her daughter. Here, it is unclear as to what Anne's life was like in the French Court. After several years of living in the French Court, the Boleyns returned to England on request of Charles Brandon, Duke of Sulfolk. Anne's father served as England's ambassador, therefore gave both his daughter the opportunity to serve as Queen Katherine of Aragon's Lady's. It was during this time that both Anne and Mary participated in a play to welcome the Spanish diplomats, in which Anne met the man who would be responsible for her death, King Henry VIII. From here, their romance sprouted with love letters and gifts, often being sent from the King himself. Anne often rejected them, for she didn't want his affection at all. In asking her if she would serve as his mistress, Anne denied Henry, only causing him to pursue her more. It isn't at all sure as to what finally caused Anne to fall in love with him, but the two then married in secret and conceived Elizabeth I. After several failed pregnancies after her dear Elizabeth was born, speculations against Anne began to stir at court. Convinced that his wife hadn't been a virgin when they were married and that she was responsible for witchcraft, Anne was sentenced to be beheaded, the same day that Henry and Jane Seymore were set to be wedded.
There aren't any potraits of the Queen Anne. Only descriptions and paintings of what she could have looked like, after her passing. From what most described her as, Anne had olive toned skin with dark hair and brown eyes. She wasn't at all remotely close to the "English Roses" that existed in England and on Court at the time. She was petite, standing at perhaps five foot three and had been quite slender. Most say that she wasn't at all beautiful but rather very average looking.
Anne Boleyn had been described as an intelligent woman full of wit and charm. She wasn't like most wmen, which many can conclude as to why Henry had fallen in love with Anne in the first place. She was very opininated and quite blunt, therefore didn't refrain herself from speaking her mind. Anne was playful, flirtatious and often drew men in, specifically, Sir Thomas Wyatt and King Henry VIII.
