One would have to be daft to wonder why the King’s eyes were already straying from his new wife. So terribly outspoken, if she didn’t watch her tongue, she might fall from grace at a rather fast pace. Jane could have taken her unladylike abuse silently, if it weren’t for the woman insulting her so gravely. “I do not want the favour of your husband, the King. If I wanted such thing, I would have acted when Lady Catherine were still Queen. I have never had any intentions to shatter marriages, nor will I ever have them. It is not me that should be feared if it is the King’s attention you worry about, I do take my oath seriously, my Lady.” Unlike a certain woman infront of her. Her mistress was digging her own grave. Jane herself was perhaps a bit pleased with this, if only because this woman had caused Lady Catherine to be treated like dirt. It pleased her even more to know that Lady Mary disliked the Queen even more than she did.
She wished to keep her husband to herself. Was that too much to ask for? It was difficult to rein control over her King – she was but a woman who’s only duty was bring forth an heir. An heir that had so failed to do… It was often that the Queen Anne could feel her steely exterior falter and expose the woman who she felt was beginning to fall a part. She couldn’t control her husband’s desires nor his disappointment in her as Queen. To witness him pursuing someone to potentially take her place… It was obvious to her that he was considering it – news of tokens and coins came her way.
The reminder of it all caused Anne to recall the very same situation she had faced with Catherine. But she, Anne Boleyn, was the rightful Queen of England, was she not? Her face still held the anger brewing inside of her, frightening to some, but not to many. She had became cold and perhaps undesirable now – ❝ Then why refer to my marriage in such a way? If you are true to your oath, Lady Jane, then don’t speak of this ‘ T R U T H ’ in which you aren’t a part of. You are my lady and you are to tend to me; NOT pry into my love for the King. Do you understand?❞
It is true that, and no one will admit, that love is never equal. And in its inequality lies its fragility, for the one who is loved less will one day find love tastes like ashes. That is indeed what poor Miss Tituba found. But she did tell me everything.
When I first returned to Salem, I was convinced that Satan’s true partner was right in front of me and all I need do is reach out my hand to take her. You can imagine my shock to discover that Captain John Alden stands behind all of Salem’s horror.
It was the Christening of Elizabeth that gave the castle such celebration that night. The feast hadn’t been as grand as it should be, for if their daughter had been a boy instead. But Anne made-do with it since it still brought joy to her and the Queen’s heart sang. To see a guest, however, wonder the gardens alone when the blue skies had turned dark, caused Queen Anne to question this. It was Lady Nan who had informed her of such activities, for they both knew that if it were HENRY to learn of the guest’s whereabouts, he would throw a tantrum. Those who attended their gathering were not allowed in this area of the castle, and for the reasoning behind it, Anne wasn’t sure.
So when she approached the other woman finally in the night without her ladies at her side, Anne asked her — ❝ Might I ask W H Y you choose to take view of our gardens at this time of day?❞
“What would you wish to hear from me, my Queen? The so very ugly truth of a very beautiful lie? I can only provide one and I do not know which has your preference.”
It was true that the King had a new mistress. It was quite awful in Jane’s eyes to discard his beloved queen after losing a child and just moving on to the next woman willing to throw herself at his feet. But at least her previous mistress had taken it gracefully, ignored all talk of mistresses and let the King be. Men had needs and were impatient, it was something that had become very clear with the years and truly, had Lady Anne learned nothing? If he was so quick to cast Katherine aside in hopes for a son, what made her think he would not do the same with her?
❝ And what caused you to believe that a MISTRESS may speak to her Q U E E N in such fashion? Was it the favor of my HUSBAND – your King and Lord – that willed your ego to swell, Mistress Seymour? I was informed that your mouth and behavior was more kind and that you respected those who were higher than you. I suppose those words were wrong and you are truly a WENCH who seeks to steal my husband away from me. Why don’t you inform me of THAT knowledge, Mistress Seymour; are you kind and respectable, with behaviors of an Angel whom I will love greatly? Or are you a whore that wishes to ruin a holy marriage?❞
Queen Anne loved her husband and thought he had also. To love was to display one’s devotion and loyalty. What with everything Henry had risked and destroyed, Anne thought to believe that her King and husband wouldn’t do such a thing; taking up mistresses, favoring their time instead of her’s. It was only a few years of marriage that they had with one another and there were already trouble. She would fight to keep this relationship whole, even if it meant to spew out poison from her lips.
001: This blog is not my whole life, so replies will be delayed on this blog. Please bear with me while I try to get through them. I currently not only run this blog, but another one (which can be found HERE), an RPH and I am also in a roleplay group as an original character. On top of that, I also have Real Life things that come my way thatβll impact my activity.
002: This blog is classified as both βPrivateβ and βSelectiveβ. I choose to only interact with whom I choose and since Iβve a lot of blogs on my plate, confining this blog will make it easier for me. I also feel comfortable with those who I am close to when writing this muse. Please do not judge me.
003: Please respect me and the Muse I write as. Thus meaning no godmodding, Mary Sues or Gary Stus. I find writing/roleplaying a place where I can βrelaxβ and not have to worry about anything else.
004: Graphics such as the Dash Icon, the theme background, Janet Montgomery Icons, and the Promotional banner are credited to me. Other icons and images belong to their rightful owners and creators.
CHARACTERIZATION:
001: I currently portray Anne based on minimal factual knowledge and records with some show influence. I write as I imagine her to be and not as the vixen most visualize her as. You may dislike Anne or you might like her and my portrayal included in this mix. But please keep your opinion to yourself or if you must, come speak to me in private about it, donβt send in anons.
I will not play/write Anne right to the very core of her soul.
002: There will be triggers of blood, minimal swearing, smut and other things. All will be tagged. The mun and Anne are of age.
003: Though fatefully married to King Henry VIII, I am willing to move away from history if there be any type of romance to form. I dislike Anne's fate and believe that she had a better chance with someone else than the King.
Because I love chemistry between characters, I can get a little hyped when it comes to shipping. So if I spring on you the βHey, I ship _____ with Anne!β, donβt get so alarmed.
004: I do not interact with anyone who also portrays Anne.
BIOGRAPHY
Anne Boleyn was the second daughter of Sir Thomas Boleyn and Lady Elizabeth Howard. She was born in England, raised there until her early teens to serve as a Lady to Queen Margaret of Austria. Because the Queen took a liking to both her and her father, word spread of Anne's quick learning and grace. By the age of fifteen, the Boleyns made their way to France where Anne and her older sister, Mary, served as Lady's for the Queen and later her daughter. Here, it is unclear as to what Anne's life was like in the French Court. After several years of living in the French Court, the Boleyns returned to England on request of Charles Brandon, Duke of Sulfolk. Anne's father served as England's ambassador, therefore gave both his daughter the opportunity to serve as Queen Katherine of Aragon's Lady's. It was during this time that both Anne and Mary participated in a play to welcome the Spanish diplomats, in which Anne met the man who would be responsible for her death, King Henry VIII. From here, their romance sprouted with love letters and gifts, often being sent from the King himself. Anne often rejected them, for she didn't want his affection at all. In asking her if she would serve as his mistress, Anne denied Henry, only causing him to pursue her more. It isn't at all sure as to what finally caused Anne to fall in love with him, but the two then married in secret and conceived Elizabeth I. After several failed pregnancies after her dear Elizabeth was born, speculations against Anne began to stir at court. Convinced that his wife hadn't been a virgin when they were married and that she was responsible for witchcraft, Anne was sentenced to be beheaded, the same day that Henry and Jane Seymore were set to be wedded.
There aren't any potraits of the Queen Anne. Only descriptions and paintings of what she could have looked like, after her passing. From what most described her as, Anne had olive toned skin with dark hair and brown eyes. She wasn't at all remotely close to the "English Roses" that existed in England and on Court at the time. She was petite, standing at perhaps five foot three and had been quite slender. Most say that she wasn't at all beautiful but rather very average looking.
Anne Boleyn had been described as an intelligent woman full of wit and charm. She wasn't like most wmen, which many can conclude as to why Henry had fallen in love with Anne in the first place. She was very opininated and quite blunt, therefore didn't refrain herself from speaking her mind. Anne was playful, flirtatious and often drew men in, specifically, Sir Thomas Wyatt and King Henry VIII.
